The Holy Spirit: Not Pint-Sized

I'm a children's ministry assistant at an awesome church in Tennessee, and I often tell people that I have the best job.

And truth be told, I really do feel that way. I am beyond blessed to have the job that I do. I am so excited by what the Lord is cultivating in my church, in my own heart, and in the hearts of those around me!

Called Up, Not Called Out

Throughout this month of October, we've gotten comfortable with being uncomfortable. How have these days been sitting with you?

These blogs haven't always been easy to write for me, but they've been good. They've been heart work. They've been placing myself on the altar as a sacrifice to my comfort zone. I'm praying these blogs have . . .

There's nothing inherently "simple" about the world that we're living in. It's complicated, isn't it? And there's such a pressure to keep up with all the ways that it's changing, too.

I'll be . . .

Bold Prayers

Friends, I have recently been challenged... About praying bold prayers. Praying prayers that are outside my comfort zone. You can read all about that journey here.

But today... Today is a testimony. Thinking about today, I am overwhelmed by the goodness of God over, and over, and over again.

My heart is full tonight, . . .

Being Mary in a Culture of Marthas

The story of Martha and Mary is one that I'm sure we are all familiar with. It's a great story. Jesus is in the home of Mary and Martha: Mary is sitting at the feet of Jesus. Martha is running around like a crazy woman focusing on all the little tasks that just had to get done.

Martha, in her irritation, essentially says . . .
