I'm a Spanish major with a minor in education, and an ESL endorsement. I am hoping to teach and have my own classroom in the near future! Human beings spend approximately 80% of their day communicating, and 55% of that is from listening. We are listening to things all the time: music, tv, each other... We are constantly aborbing information. In the culture that we live in, fear and anxiety are prevalent. We hear all about death and destruction, and little about hope.

I am around incredible kids just about every single day of the week. From working at a local church as the Children's Ministry Assistant to interning at an elementary school with a Pre-K class, I have the privilege of seeing students grow and learn throughout the year. When I think about my life, I like things to be easy breezy. I like consistency, comfort, and convenience. I like it when things go my way, when there are no hiccups in the road ahead. I am a fan of clear-cut paths, straightforward agendas, and no deviation from my plan.

When I say the word stress, what's your first instinct? If you're anything like me, thinking about stress makes you want to run for the hills! From every angle, we are bombarded by stress on a daily basis. We have obligations to our work, our families, and everything we just have to do.

As the Church universal, we spend a lot of time thinking about repentance. We constantly discuss our wrongdoings and our sins. We cling to verses like Romans 3:23 (NLT) “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.”
We cry out to the God of all creation, begging for a measly scrap of His grace . . .
