Confidence in Christ
Confidence has, quite frankly, not been my thing. I'm not good at it. I have a much easier time beating myself up. I have a hard time being confident and seeing all that others see in me. In other words? My self-esteem... Is not always the greatest.
The idea of confidence has always been a fleeting thing.
I'll be confident for a moment. I'll muster up some confidence for an interview, or a presentation.
So my lack of confidence had translated over into my relationship with God, until I realized...
The Father takes the pressure off. Jesus already thought I was enough. Jesus already died for me and my sins. He already loved me beyond my wildest dreams.
I can be confident in Christ not only because of what He's done for me, but also because of just how much He loves!
Having confidence in Christ means that we are willing to trust: that we are willing to put aside our own doubts and place them into the hands of the Father. We can enter into His throne room boldly, praying and petitioning Him for the desires of our hearts.
