Gratitude Day 16
What was the best thing that happened today?
Wednesdys are often long days. I go from class, to work, and then we have Wednesday night programming at church that I help lead. I wouldn't change it for the world.
Wednesdays are one of the best parts of my week. It's been such a privelage to be surrounded by kids that are growing and changing in their love of Christ and love for each other each and every week.
This past week, we did a joint lesson with kids K-5 about thankfulness and how deep and wide the Father's love is for us. It was beautiful to watch our older kids be leaders and help the younger ones stay on task and do the craft. I am constantly amazed by the way our 4th and 5th graders care for our younger students. It is so, so beautiful.
As a college student, I always appreciate a home-cooked meal. I like to cook, but it's so special when someone takes the time to cook for you! I've been blessed to meet a number of families and bonded with kids and parents alike, but one family in particular I've gotten to know very well. This precious family offered to open their home and cook a meal any time I'd like one! How amazing is that? The Lord has blessed me again and again and again through my position at this church.
Yesterday was a good day.
