Gratitude Day 19
What do you like about where you live?
I go to college in Chattanooga, which is where I currently live.
We have just about everything: a stunning walking bridge, tons of cute shops, great places to eat, and fun little markets every now and again. There are stunning places to ride bikes, walk, and even hike. I love my city.
Chattanooga is incredible. Whether you prefer the hustle and bustle of downtown, or somewhere that you can get away, Chattanooga pretty much has it all.
I am grateful for the community I've found in this beautiful city. For the memories made. The places I've discovered. The late night study sessions and the coffee shop visits and the Friday night dates to ice cream shops and restaurants.
I like that so many people are so friendly here and that there are so many local businesses, especially in North Shore.
I'm grateful for the way the people of Chattanooga uplift and encourage each other, even if it's just through a simple smile.
Tonight, this city is on my heart. I am praying for comfort for the families, teachers, faculty, and first responders involved in the Woodmore community. I can't imagine what it's going to be like tomorrow for these precious people to wake up with such pain tomorrow. I can't imagine the way they are feeling, so I am praying. Praying for the peace that passes all understanding to comfort them. Praying for the love of the Father to envelope them. Praying for the teachers that have to put on a brave face for the kids tomorrow. Praying for the kids who lost friends, and for parents who have to explain what happened. Praying for the faculty and for the principal that leads the school. Will you join me in doing the same?
