What do you think of when you heard the word guidance? Most often, I think of a path. I think of playing the game "follow the leader" as a child. I loved that game! I was good at following those around me.
As I've grown up, Jesus has challenged me-What would happen if I follow His guidance instead of the guidance of others around me?
We see this with Joseph in the Bible. Joseph stayed faithful to the Lord even in the most difficult times. Even when his brothers sold him into slavery.
Joseph faced a lot in his life: betrayal and even jail time. His brothers were jealous that he was his Father's favorite.
Jealousy breeds contempt.
God began to place dreams and ideas inside of Joseph that he probably never, ever thought of in his wildest dreams.
Not everyone is going to understand the dreams that God places inside of you.
Opposition is not comfortable, but can be a sounding board for your destiny.
I attended a church service not too long ago and the pastor said something that hit me: "The weight of the call is balanced by the wealth of confirmation."
In your difficult journey, Jesus invites us to the banquet table. He's asking you to recline into His presence, His love for you.
He will be faithful to you just as he has been to thousands of others since the beginning of time.
The voice of the Father will never steer you in the wrong direction.
For me, it's easy to listen to the other voices around me instead of the only One who matters.
Jesus is our great guidance. May He be the one that guides our hearts!
