The Holy Spirit: Not Pint-Sized
I'm a children's ministry assistant at an awesome church in Tennessee, and I often tell people that I have the best job.
And truth be told, I really do feel that way. I am beyond blessed to have the job that I do. I am so excited by what the Lord is cultivating in my church, in my own heart, and in the hearts of those around me!
That being said, when I tell someone that I work with kids, I often get sympathetic glances and "Oh, bless your heart!"
I almost laugh. I'm blessed that I get to help shape the next generations.
It's been a journey over the past year: finding my rhythm and my own place in an already established ministry, but it's been a beautiful one.
The thing I love about working with kids the most is seeing that there is no such thing as a pint-sized Holy Spirit.
There is no such thing as a pint-sized Holy Spirit.
The same Holy Spirit that resides in you and me, is the very same Holy Spirit that lives and resides in the lives of children!
It is easy to discount the thoughts and feelings of children because of their age.
Friends, I am seeing the Holy Spirit work in the lives of children in incredible ways!
The Holy Spirit cannot be put into a box. He cannot be quieted or discounted or made small. There is no "age appropriate" amount: the Holy Spirit gives Himself fully to all of us!
It has been an incredible journey to see that, face to face.
