Where We Belong
God is a master at orchestrating things to work out for our good. I am amazed, time and time again, at the goodness that flows straight from Him into my own life at the exact moment that I need it.
However, there are times that I question where I'm at in my life. Is this where I'm supposed to be? Is this where I belong? Is this what my life is supposed to be looking like right now?
I have no problem getting so caught up in the ifs and the maybes that I forget that I'm not the one in charge.
Proverbs 20:24 (NLT) says, "The Lord directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way?"
I'm learning that maybe it's not so much about the destination right now. I think it's learning how to trust the One that formed my being... Knowing that HE has planned all of my days, so I don't have to worry about what's coming next.
One of my favorite things that I've learned about this life with Jesus?
There is nothing coming your way that He is surprised about. He has already walked through it, touched the circumstance, and is going to walk with you through it.
So I just wanted to offer you some encouragement today, friends, as we struggle with the idea of belonging. The Lord has already walked through the situations you’re wrestling with. As you walk through these things, He’s also right beside you. He is going to smooth and recreate and soften. You are placed where you are because you’re a gateway to His heart. He has you placed where you are because you’re committed: you share His hope, healing, peace, and love in a beautiful way! You are a gateway, encouraging whole families into the body of Christ. I’m praying this week that your heart will be flooded with grace and peace and purpose in a brand new way! That the Father will whisper new ideas and solutions that you’ve been hungering for.
You don't have to search for a place to belong anymore, friends! You and I belong to our Heavenly Father!
